Demonstrative Pronouns
संकेतवाचक सर्वनाम
Words like - this, that - when used as pronouns to indicate the objects that they describe, are recognized as demonstrative pronouns.
सर्वनाम के रूप में
this,
that जैसे शब्द का उपयोग जब किसी वस्तु/वस्तुओं की ओर संकेत करने के लिये किया जाता है तब उन्हें Demonstrative Pronoun या संकेतवाचक सर्वनाम कहा जाता है.

This is better than that |
These and those are the plural forms of this and that respectively. Both are used as demonstratives pronouns where applicable.

those. इनका भी उपयोग आवश्यक्तानुसार संकेतवाचक सर्वनाम की तरह किया जा सकता है.

This is used to indicate a nearby object, whereas that for a distant object.
This का प्रयोग निकट के वस्तु की ओर संकेत करने के लिये किया जाता है और
that का दूर की वस्तु के लिये.

This is used to indicate a known or familiar object, whereas that for a unknown or strange object.
This का प्रयोग निकट के वस्तु की ओर संकेत करने के लिये किया जाता है और
that का दूर की वस्तु के लिये.
Note नोट:
This, that, these and those when used to describe nouns are categorized as demonstrative adjectives.
जब this, that, these और those का उपयोग संज्ञा के विवरण के लिये किया जाता है तब उन्हें demonstrative adjectives (
संकेतवाचक विशेषण) की तरह वर्गित किया जाता है.
