Verb is probably the most important part of speech in the english language. It is so important that no sentence can be complete without a verb.
Verb की भूमिका किसी भी sentence में एकदम अहम होती है. यहाँ तक कि verb के बिना कोई sentence बनता ही नहीं, बाकि के parts of speech के अंतर्गत वर्गित शब्द-समूहों का sentence में होना आवश्यक नहीं है.

Verb is that word or group of words in the sentence that specifies the action taken or the state of the subject.
Verb वह शब्द या शब्दों का समूह है जो किसी व्यक्ति या वस्तु के सम्बन्ध में कुछ बताये या उनके द्वारा किये गये किसी कार्य को प्रकट करते हैं.

A verb gives us one of the following three details.
एक क्रिया से हमें निम्न तीन में से एक जानकारी मिलती है.

1. It tells us what a person or thing is doing.
   वह हमें बताता है कि कोई व्यक्ति या वस्तु क्या कर रही है.
2. It tells us what is being done to a person or thing.
   वह हमें बताता है कि किसी व्यक्ति या वस्तु के साथ क्या हो रहा है.
3. It tells us about the status of a person or thing.
   वह हमें खिसी व्यक्ति या वस्तु की स्थिती की जानकारी देता है.
